Robert Cenedella
"Wall Street editon" 2001: A Stock Odyssey

Our featured artist is Robert Cenedella, internationally renowned painter and pictorial satirist. His recent "Ground Zero" and the 1991 "Yellow Ribbons", both featured on our cover page, depict with cutting accuracy America's past, present and probable future. Bob's brilliant and hilarious works are distributed liberally throughout our Sports and Business sections as well.

Notable among his numerous solo exhibitions was a one person show in Paris in 1985, sponsored by Jacques Chirac, then mayor of Paris. He has also participated in over thirty group shows in Europe and America including the Amnesty International Show at the Paula Cooper and Germans Van Eck Galleries in Soho, New York, (June 1990). As a participant in the George Grosz centennial celebration in 1994, Cenedella had a major exhibition at the Galerie Am Scheunenviertel in Berlin.
Cenedella has eschewed "art scene" and "gallery" life. As a student, Cenedella was a protege of George Grosz.  Today, having taken up the work of his mentor he currently teaches at The Art Students League in New York where he holds the George Grosz chair.
