New York painter George Schneeman is the co-creator
of a remarkable body of collaborative works with such poets as Ted Berrigan,
Ron Padgett and Bill Berkson.
Schneeman's frescoes of New York poets and artists created a sensation
when first shown at The Holly Solomon Gallery in the 1970's. George's
famous plaid shirt drawings as well as his lovely, erotic dinnerware have
been widely but unsuccessfully imitated.
Each year the Schneeman calendar is a special gift from the artist. $lavery 1.2 hopes to present the 1997 calendar as well as more collaborations with Ted Berrigan.
